Press the Power/Mode, Temp Up, and Temp Down buttons on the Thermostat Display simultaneously and then release

The screen on the Thermostat Display should flash multiple times after releasing

Confirm the Anacove logo is displayed on the screen

Wait for "OFF", "COOL", "HEAT", or "FAN" to be displayed on the screen

Press the power button a few times so that the unit can be seen to switch from OFF to ON

Press the FAN button and confirm the fan turns on at the PTAC

If the room is unrented, turn the Thermostat Display off

If the room rented, leave the Thermostat Display on

If you happen to leave the Thermostat Display on in a room that is unrented, it will automatically turn off after 30 minutes
