Remove power from the PTAC

Either unplug the PTAC from the wall outlet or disconnect power inside the PTAC. Just turning the PTAC off will not work

Restore power to the PTAC

Confirm the Anacove logo is displayed on the thermostat screen

It should flash after restoring power and then show the logo

Wait for "OFF", "COOL", "HEAT", or "FAN" to be displayed on the thermostat screen

Press the power button a few times so that the unit can be seen to switch from OFF to ON

Press the FAN button and confirm the fan turns on at the PTAC

If the room is unrented, turn the Thermostat Display off

If the room is rented, leave the Thermostat Display on

If you happen to leave the Thermostat Display on in a room that is unrented, it will automatically turn off after 30 minutes
